Henrietta B. Burkardt

Age 96 of Miamisburg passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Bethany Lutheran Village surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 25, 1917 in Dayton, KY to the late, Joseph and Henrietta (Maschinot) Centner. Also preceding her in death is her husband of 62 years, Leo F. Burkardt; sister, Helen McKenna; brothers, Richard, Albert, Joseph and Arthur Centner. She is survived by her children, Leo (Nancy) Burkardt, Janet (Bill) Brownsberger, Barbara (John) Geri, David (Janet) Burkardt; grandchildren, Donna (Bobby) Miracle, Billy (Penny) Brownsberger, Kristen (Brendon) Fussnecker, Kari Brownsberger, Leo (Deepika) Burkardt; great-grandchildren, Alissa English, Grace and Abby Brownsberger, Harper Fussnecker; many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. Henrietta was a member since 1956 of Our Lady of Good Hope Church. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, served as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered with many church and school activities. Henrietta worked as an office manager with the W.T. Grant Company and volunteered many hours in the Sycamore Hospital gift shop. A visitation will be from 10 am -11 am at Our Lady of Good Hope Church on Saturday, April 12, 2014 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with her nephew, Fr. David Centner as celebrant. Interment in Miamisburg Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, Ohio 45420 or Our Lady of Good Hope Church, 6 South Third St. Miamisburg, Ohio 45342, in memory of Henrietta.
