Hershel Salyers Jr.

Age 71 of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. He was born in Salyersville, KY on May 7, 1944 to the late, Hershel and Bessie (LeMaster) Salyers, Sr. Also preceding him in death is his stepfather, Buell Whitt and brother, Samuel Whitt. J.R. is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Dawn (Dixon) Salyers; daughter, Kim Nasca; his beloved baby girl Yorkie’s, Sasha, Brana and his 5 kitties; grandchildren, C.J., Samantha and Kassie; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Carrol Powers, Jimmie Salyer, Sandy Howard, Danny Whitt, Tim Whitt, Mark Whitt; father-in-law, Gary Dixon and uncle, Don Bowman. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and enjoyed playing golf in his spare time. The family would like to thank special friends, Lynn Leach, Cynthia Mills, Steve Smith and Sharyl Thompson for all their help and support over the last few months. Friends and family may visit from 2-4pm on Sunday, May 17 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home followed by a memorial service starting at 4pm with Pastor Pete Creamer officiating.
