Janet Schafer

SCHAFER, Janet, age 74, a longtime resident of Miamisburg, passed away after a battle with a terminal disease on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Home, surrounded by her family. She was born May 16, 1947 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Dayton, Ohio to the late Casper and Dorothy (Ping) Goffe.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Don Schafer; daughter, Vicki (Schafer) Leeson (Ben); son, Gary Schafer; brother; Don Goffe; grandkids, Ashley (Leeson) Gilroy, Amber Leeson, Alix (Leeson) Wilson (Travis), and Josie Kimbrough; great grandkids, Lexi, Nixon, Presley, Ryder, Maeleigh, Navie, Brecklyn, and Ridge; brothers, Ron (Barbara) Goffe, Jim (Joan) Goffe, and Jerry Allen Goffe; sisters, Marjorie Eloise (Herman) Hill, Wilene (Jerry) Doxey, and Judy Rae Goffe. Plus many neices, nephews, & cousins whom she loved very much!

Janet was a Human Resource Manager at Sears for 35 years. Most of all she enjoyed her time with family.

Family will receive friends from 12 – 2 PM on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM.
