

Age 92, resident of The Maria Joseph Center in Dayton, formerly of Miamisburg and Gaithersburg, MD passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton due to pneumonia and the flu. He was born in Athens County, Ohio to Jerry Grim, Sr. and Ethel M. Handley on December 27, 1922. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Marjorie D. Grim (Dudley) in 1996; brother, Blaine A. Grim in 1927 and granddaughter, Michelle M. Gregg in 2013. Jerry is survived by his children, Jerry Grim III of Chicago, IL, Theresa Wilson of Huber Heights, David Grim of West Carrollton, Betty Jensen of Green Bay, WI, Daniel (Helen) Grim of Miamisburg and Donald (Mi Suk) Grim of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. He was a WWII Army veteran serving in the Signal Corps, Adjutant General’s Dept. in the Philippine Islands. Jerry graduated from Shade High School in 1938 and attended Ohio University. He retired after serving for many years as International Secretary-Treasurer of the United Telegraph Workers Union (AFL-CIO). He was a member of the Western Union Employees Association, Morse Telegraph Club, Democratic National Committee and a National member of the VFW. There will be no services, per Jerry’s request.
