Jerry Sellman

SELLMAN, Jerry M., age 76 years of West Carrollton, OH, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026. Following a long, grueling, and courageous battle with COPD, he was a Viet Nam Veteran with "boots on the ground," for 1 year and 17 days, directly where Agent Orange had been sprayed.

Jerry was an avid fan of Nascar, all things sports, especially Baseball and Golf. He enjoyed a good joke, an ice-cold beer, and listening to 60s rock and roll. His greatest joys and passions were for his wife, and family. He worked as a Warehouse Manager for several local companies, managing Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, safety regulations, compliance, deadlines. He had a gift of natural-born leadership, an innate aptitude for guiding, inspiring, and taking charge, along with a steady dose of wicked good humor.

He is survived by the love of his life and best friend of 33 years, Anna; sons, Jeremy (Sara) Sellman, Kris Sellman, Steve (Oona) Noren, and beloved daughter, Jaclynn aka Wacky (Jason) Sawdy; granddaughter, Gwyneth Sellman, and grandson, Steven, (Verena) Noren. He is also survived by a brother, Tony (Vicki) Sellman; a sister, Sue (Roger) Simonson; including nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary (Lewis) Sellman, and oldest brother, Bob Sellman.

He was deeply loved by his family, and will be greatly, greatly, missed. Although our hearts are broken, he would want his life and death to be celebrated, and not a time of sadness. He is now a Free Bird.

A private service will be held by the family with burial at the VA Military, Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, OH, with full military salute.
