

DOUR, Joanne Lenore, age 89 a long time resident of West Carrollton and Miamisburg, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at Hillspring Health Care and Rehabilitation, Springboro while in the care of Hospice of Dayton. She was born April 25, 1926 in Waukegan, Illinois to the late John J. and Mary Lucile (Efinger) Kearney. In addition to her parents, Joanne had one sister, Mary Lou Ann (Kearney) Rogers who also preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Joseph W. Dour, her four sons; Timothy (Marlene) of Cincinnati; Peter (Cyndi) of Orlando, Florida; Daniel (Cathy Prager) of Newburg, NY and Jeffrey (Jackie) who resides in Miamisburg. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Christopher Dour, Kim (Mike) Dour Knorowski, Craig (Colleen) Dour and Sarah DeCamp and 5 great grandchildren, Logan, Andrew, Gavin, Jake and Alexandra. Joanne was a high school graduate and married Joseph Dour on September 1, 1945. In the 60’s their family moved to West Carrollton with their four children, who all graduated from West Carrollton High School and eventually moved to Miamisburg where Mr. Dour currently resides. Joanne was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Miamisburg. To all that knew her, Joanne was a lovely, spiritual lady who loved golf, bowling, gardening, crafts and playing cards. She also loved to travel. Visitation has been scheduled from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM Friday, November 13, 2015 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Mass of Cristian Burial will begin 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Good Hope Church, Miamisburg also on Friday, celebrated by Father Jim Romanello. Dayton National Cemetery will serve as Joanne’s final resting place. Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Dayton at 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420 in her memory.
