Karen S Brown

Karen S Brown, age 81, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 26, 2026. She was born May 22, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Claude and Alberta (Hunt) McGohan. A 1963 graduate of Miamisburg High School, Karen carried forward a steady devotion to faith, family, and community throughout her life.

Karen was very passionate about her faith and about sharing the Word with others. She was an active member of Miamisburg Assembly of God for over 50 years, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She also enjoyed cooking for others, and everyone was always welcome at her table. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Karen is survived by her children, Doug (Kim) Brown, David (Lindsey) Brown, and Angela Brown; grandchildren, Ryan, Jack (Maddy), Connor (Alex), Madison (Tyler), Jacob (Jamie), Carter, and Molly; great grandchildren, Elijah, Riley, Davis, Andie; siblings, Pat McGohan, Pam McGohan, and Kathy McGohan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Brown; and her siblings, Dick McGohan, Bill McGohan, John McGohan, Keith McGohan and Mike McGohan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Middletown or to Miamisburg Assembly of God.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held from 4-6 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the Miamisburg Assembly of God, 501 N. Ninth St, Miamisburg. Funeral services will follow at 6 pm with Pastor Chuck Sharp officiating. Private burial will be held at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg.
