My heart is broken. I will always remember her as uniquely sassy and nurturing. Her witty, tell it like it is, sarcasm made me laugh and set me straight at the same time! She was also very loving and thoughtful. I have such great memories of our families being together for various occasions such as graduations, Kane County Cougar’s games, super bowl parties, birthdays etc. etc. Not only have we shared great times, but our families have been there for each other during really tough times too. Unfortunately, this is by far the most difficult. I am so grateful my parents will be there tomorrow to wrap their arms around Randy, Debbie, Jill, Robby and their families. I love you guys so much and miss you. She will always be with you and remembered fondly by all who were blessed to know her. 

So sorry. She grew up in my doorstep with my kids. My heart is broken. We just have to remember the good times. My prayer are with you and your family.

To one of the greatest women in my life:
Today is not the day your family says goodbye because that is not what you would want. You want them to come together, support one another, love each other and share the beautiful memories that are forever in their hearts. As their supporter, their mentor, a parent, a grandmother, an aunt, a wife, best friend, sister, a mother, and well...one hell of an amazing, sensational woman! There are no words to explain the feelings your family will feel and endure but one thing is for sure they are not alone, because God has placed you in a special place to not only watch over them but guide them because you have received the highest honor by gaining your angel wings despite how hard this transition may be. 
I may not be there to support my family physically but my heart is with them not only today but everyday. The strength I pray they have is beyond explanation and I pray for comfort as my Aunt Kathy spreads her angel wings today and shines in the hearts of those that love her deeply. 
I will not say good bye but say thank you... For everything you have ever done for me and those you have been blessed to be apart of your life. I know when we reunite when God decides, it will be one hell of a glorious celebration.

Grandma Kathy was one of kind the love you gave Nick, Geni, Andrew, Dylan, Emma, Cameron, and Juliaa was a beautiful thing to see. They will all miss you so much.

I’d like to make a Strawberry Daiquiri toast to a woman that has been like another mom to me for 33 years. Kathy Wissinger, you were deeply loved and will be sorely missed. Thank you for your many years of friendship and mothering, for your generous heart, and for your love and laughter. You weren’t afraid to give me the Mom-look or hit me upside the head. During cold winter mornings, you welcomed me into your home to wait for the school bus. You made the best homemade potato skins and always shared. And, when I left your home, without fail, you always told me to “go straight home” (we lived next door). Thank you for being a rock and confidant to my mom and always being there for the little Rork family. I love you and will miss you always. I remember Kathy as a wonderful woman. So friendly. So sorry for the family.

I am so very, very sorry for your family’s loss. So many memories of all of you, but particularly Kathy and Carol’s nearly daily tête-à-tête at the fence. Although there is now an emptiness in his life that will never fully be filled, she has left him with a beautiful legacy in you and your sisters, and his delightful and precious grandchildren.

It all began here over 27 years ago when I met this wonderful lady Kathy Combs Wissinger. We were neighbors by chance yet friends by choice! She came into my life and has forever left a lasting mark on my heart! 
I worked full time and so did she (raising 3 wonderful children)! Yet she still found time to bring dinners across the street!!!
We have so many wonderful memories which will be with us forever!!! Thank you Kathy for all your kind words and your infectious smile and laugh!

Having flashbacks all day of all the fun our families had together. Super Bowl parties, 4th of July, birthday parties, graduation parties, showers, weddings, going out for dinner, visits to Dayton. So many wonderful memories. One I will never forget is being with your mom and dad bringing in 2000 together downtown Naperville and dancing to “Dancing in the Street”. She would do anything for her family and friends. Great cook ( loved her sloppy Joes and potatoes skins). There is so much more about this lovely lady that we were fortunate to know.
