

On October 23, 2014, Lottie Cole went to rejoin her husband of over 50 years, Elijah Cole and her youngest son, Larry “Dan” Cole, in Heaven. She was born on June 8, 1925 in Rockcastle County, KY to the late Rollie and Martha (Durham) Mullins. Also preceding her in death are four siblings, all in Kentucky. Lottie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Elijah “Lee” and Maureen Cole of Miamisburg; daughter-in-law, Patricia Cole of Miamisburg; grandchildren, Michael (Shelly) Cole, Gary Cole, Alison (Mike) Doll; great-grandchildren, Trace Cole, Sierra Cole, Ella Doll & Sawyer Doll; siblings, Bernice Norman of West Carrollton, Jessie (Delmar) Smith of Brookville, Pearl Jean Weaver and her husband of Florida, Jerry Mullins of Alabama and many other extended family and friends. Lottie came to Ohio during WWII to work at a defense factory. In 1954 she began working at Nabisco, where she worked with her sister Bernice until retiring in 1979 after 25 years of service. She then began having garage sales in an effort to help clothe families. Lottie would sew, patch and fix clothing to sell to families, clothing some children from birth through high school. She has remained a longtime member of The Word of God Church in Moraine. Lottie’s family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Rhonda Bowls (primary caregiver) and Conda Richardson (part-time caregiver) for all of their wonderful care and support over the last several years, as well as Crossroads Hospice. Friends and family may visit from 11am-1pm on Tuesday, October 28 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1pm, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Garnell Crawford officiating. Interment at Highland Memorial Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be given to Crossroads Hospice or Miamisburg Helping Hands Food Pantry, in memory of Lottie.
