The family of Gottfried Schlembach is saddened by the news of Lydia's passing. We have many wonderful memories of the annual 4th of July family reunions that Lydia and Dean would host. Lydia managed her household and organized a wonderful picnic with a sweet smile and calm demeanor while kids were running in and out of the barn, pond and house and family were coming out of the woodwork! Those were fun times.
Our family will always be grateful to Lydia's family who helped sponsor my father's emigration from Germany in 1949. The Textor family made sure his talents weren't wasted and provided him his first home in America.
In these times of COVID it is difficult to attend her visitation and funeral. Our hearts and prayers are with your families in this time of sorrow.

Nita and I offer our sympathy and prayers. Aunt Lilly was so good in putting up with me and my friends all those years ago. She is truly a wonderful person who was an example for all of us in how she lived. I truly believe the picture of the group standing in front of and on the running board of the old car are rejoicing to be once again together! As you know Nita and I won't be able to attend services but believe me we will be there in spirit. God Bless and Keep You.
