Uncle Mark has always been near and dear to me.
My favorite memory of him was the first time I visited Dayton after all the kids were grown and moved away. We called Mark for directions to the house. After about 45 minutes of driving through beautiful country, we finally reached the house. We had a beautiful visit catching up on old times and making new memories.
When we got ready to leave, one of his sons gave us new directions. Amazingly, it took us about 10 minutes to get back to original destination.
Moral of story—Marcus had us enjoy the beauty of the countryside and to appreciate the simple things.
Love you Uncle Mark.
