Martha Ellen Colson

Age 102 of Miamisburg passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Sycamore Glen Health Center. She was born on February 16, 1912 in Richmond, IN to the late, Ernest W. and Jessie (Harmeier) Thomas. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers. In addition to her parents and brothers, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford S. Colson Sr.; son, Clifford S. Colson, Jr.; grandsons, David Colson and Scott Colson; daughters-in-law, Ann Blazek and Ida Colson. She is survived by her children, Marty (Larry) Williams, Calvin T. Colson; grandchildren, Jeff Colson, Chris Colson, Cliff (Cindy) Colson III, Dr. Mark (Molly) Williams, Tracey (Ed) Benford; great-grandchildren, Sarah Colson, Joe Colson, Ciera Colson, Caleb Colson, Megan Williams, Mitchell Williams, Mia Williams, William Benford, Reese Benford; step-grandchildren, Bruce and Bryan Adams, Kelli Holdeman and their families and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. Martha graduated from Roosevelt High School as Valedictorian and held many jobs over the years. She worked for the Miamisburg News as the Society Editor for over 25 years, has been a longtime member of the Monday Night Club and sang in the Trinity Church Choir for over 30 years. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Trinity United Church, 203 East Linden Ave. Miamisburg with Pastor Joel Getts officiating.
