

Tape, Mary Elizabeth, age 96, a longtime resident of Miamisburg, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Twin Towers of Cincinnati. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio to Louis F. Nau and Magdalen (Hines) Nau and was married for 61 years to the late Raymond O. Tape. Mary is survived by her five children: Ann DuBois, Barbara Wood, David Tape, Catherine Tape, Eric Tape and her sister, Margaret Ann Brown. Mary attended Notre Dame Academy in Hamilton, Ohio and graduated from Mercy Hospital's School of Nursing as a registered nurse. While working at Mercy she completed her Laboratory Technician training and worked in that roll until her marriage to Ray in 1946. During her marriage, she devoted herself to the care of her growing family and gardens. Family and friends know her as an excellent cook, avid gardener and a good neighbor who generously shared her abundant flowers and produce. She was a long time member of Mothers' Club, Centerville Garden Club and Our Lady of Good Hope for which she served on the church council. Family will receive friends Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 10 - 11 a.m. in the Parish Center of Our Lady of Good Hope Church, Miamisburg with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. in the church proper. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton following services.
