

WANTZ, Nancy Lou, age 81 of Washington Township, passed away Tuesday January 2, 2018 at Brighton Gardens of Washington Township. She was born February 5, 1936 in Lakeside, OH to the late Walter and Vivian (Ulrich) Logan. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Brian Wantz in 2005 and sister, Patricia Enders. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jerry Wantz; son, Brad Wantz of Centerville; grandchildren, Ryan Wantz of Centerville, Arron Wantz of Clayton, Chris Wantz of Texas and Shannon Wantz of Miamisburg; sister, Barbara Patterson of Fostoria and several nieces and nephews, including Anne Roberts. Nancy was a 1954 graduate of Scipio-Republic High School and attended Heidelberg University, Tiffin where she studied music. Nancy was an accomplished pianist, teaching piano for over 50 years. She dedicated the majority of her life to family as a homemaker and wife. Nancy had many activities including golf, tennis and bridge. For many years, she and Jerry travelled and cruised world; an experience she thoroughly enjoyed. She had served as Past-President of the Dayton Piano Teachers Association. Special thanks to the staff of Brighton Gardens and Crossroads Hospice for their extraordinary care. A graveside memorial will begin 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg. Family will host a celebration of life will immediately follow at Bennett’s Publical, Miamisburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Parkinson Disease Association at 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.
