Pamela Gutshall, 78, of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She now joins her husband, Paul, with whom she shared 41 years of marriage until his passing in 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Homer, and her sister, Kathy. She is survived by her daughters Amy, Suzanna (Andy), and Rachel (Sam); her beloved grandchildren, Dustin, Adaline, and Weston; and her sister Beth (Judd).
Pam was born on September 6, 1947, and grew up in Zanesfield, Ohio, on a dairy farm at the foot of Mad River Mountain, where she developed a lifelong love of nature and caring for the world around her. After graduating high school, she carried that passion to Otterbein University, where she earned her degree in Education. During her years at Otterbein, she was a proud sister of Epsilon Kappa Tau and a member of the Guest House Girls, where she formed lifelong friendships.
Pam devoted most of her career to Dayton Job Corps, where she inspired her students to discover a love of learning. She encouraged curiosity, nurtured confidence, and showed her students that education could open doors to a bright future.
After retiring, Pam devoted her time to her family and her many interests. She especially cherished time with her grandchildren, sharing with them her love of gardening, wildlife, cooking, and decorating. Some of her happiest days were spent at Dale Hollow Lake in Kentucky. While at the lake, Pam watched her grandchildren experience the traditions she and Paul had created for their girls many years before.
