In sure and certain hope of the resurrection through Jesus Christ, Paul Tilden Schultz, 99, of Miamisburg entered Eternal Life on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. His final days were spent at Kingston of Miamisburg HC, under Hospice-directed care.
Paul was born on December 24, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio, to Allie and Mary (Reehl) Schultz. He married his wife, Loueda Mae (Zink) Schultz, in June 1947. He is survived by his sons Paul Steven (Lynn) Schultz, Daniel C. Schultz, Thomas A. Schultz, and beloved Foreign Exchange Student ‘son,’ Benjamin (Maru) Villacana E; his beloved friend and sister-in-law Alma Zink, 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased in death by his wife, parents and brothers, Kenneth Schultz and Charles Schultz, sister, Margaret (Schultz) May and daughter-in-law, Patricia (Molnar) Schultz.
Paul graduated from Miamisburg High School in 1945. He enlisted in the Army Air Corp in January of 1944 and was honorably discharged from the Army Air Force in January of 1947. He held a number of positions in his early professional life until he found his professional calling as Administrator of Bethany Lutheran Village Retirement Community. He remained at Bethany until he accepted the position as Administrator of Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney, Ohio, retiring as Director of Operations for Presbyterian Homes of Ohio. During this time, he served on the board of the Association of Ohio Philanthropic Homes for the Aging.
After his retirement, Paul enjoyed traveling with his wife in their RV. They particularly enjoyed many years of being ‘winter Texans’ in the Port Aransas area. Paul and Loueda also enjoyed attending the Miamisburg High School Alumni Association events. Paul was an active member of the Miamisburg Rotary Club originally joining in June of 1961. He served as Club President from July 2025 until June 2026. He also was an active member of the Miamisburg Historical society and a member of American Legion Post 165. He was an active and dedicated member of St. Jacob Lutheran Church, Miamisburg. During the 1960’s and 1970’s, Paul and Loueda served as advisers for the church’s Luther League youth group.
A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at St. Jacob Lutheran Church, Miamisburg. The family will be available to greet attendees beginning at 9:00 AM. Graveside services will follow the service at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jacob Lutheran Church, 213 E.
