

STEVENS, Pauline D. “Pearl”, age 93 of Miamisburg passed away peacefully Monday August 25, 2014 at Laurelwood Senior Living. She was born July 22, 1921 in Wise County, Virginia to the late Velma (Baber) and William H. Adcock. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Harold H. Stevens in 2011; her grandson, Ryan Dionne in 2004 and her brothers, Toby, Jimmy and Charles Adcock. She is survived by her son, Richard (Debbie) Stevens of Cape Coral, FL; daughter, Kathy (Jim) Dionne of Miamisburg; 2 granddaughters, Amy Peirce and Holli Dionne; 3 great grandchildren, Danielle, Nicolas and Ryan and two sisters, Thelma Bright and Phyllis Jernigan both of Portsmouth, VA as well as many other extended family and friends. Pearl, as she was affectionately called, was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She worked as a study hall monitor for 20 years with Miamisburg Schools and many of her students still speak fondly of her today. She was very crafty and creative, always making something and was a long-time member of Mothers Club and Cheerio Club locally. Pauline was a kind soul. Graveside services will begin 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg and officiated by Chaplain Phil Hohulin of Vitas Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Miami Valley Chapter at 31 Whipp Rd., Dayton, OH 45459 or Vitas Hospice at 3055 Kettering Blvd., Suite 218, Moraine, OH 45439.
