

WOODARD, Pauline, age 92 of Miamisburg, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at her home under the care of Hospice of Dayton. She was born November 3, 1923 in Pennington Gap, VA to the late Thomas Franklin and Bertha Alice (Parsons) Cooper. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Woodard in 1975; daughters, Karen Shipman Woodard (2004) and Diane Reed (2011) and siblings. She is survived by her children, Ken Woodard of Miamisburg, Joan (Richard) Dillon of Miamisburg, David (Kathy) Woodard of Michigan and Debbie Woodard of Miamisburg; grandchildren, Stephanie, Libby, Joshua, Rachel, Amanda and Jake; seven great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Wilma (J.C.) Garrett of West Carrollton and Stella (J.R.) Robinson of Miamisburg as well as many other extended family members and friends. Pauline attended Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She supported the war effort by working in a parachute factory as a seamstress in her early years and in a tobacco factory; then later at J.C. Penney and Groby’s Garden Center. Pauline was a generous woman who enjoyed sewing, gardening and flowers. Family will receive friends and loved ones from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 PM also at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Mike Miracle. Highland Memorial Cemetery will serve as Pauline’s final resting place.
