Age 69 of Miamisburg passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Dayton VA Medical Center. He was born May 21, 1942 in Detroit, MI to the late Raymond Albert and Ruth Helena (Kolodzik) Heis-Pientka. Also preceding Bob in death is 3 infant brothers, including his twin and his infant sister. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Diane Francis (Bresette) Heis; his daughter and son-in-law, Tresena (Tracey) Marie and John Eric Hail of Dayton; sisters, Karen Louise (Heis) Petrey-Hasty of West Carrollton, Linda Rae (Heis) Pelkey-Warrick of Kettering and Deborah Ann (Heis) Phelps-Mock of Miamisburg; special friends, Duane Price, Greg Bowman, Barbara Smith, Jean Hill, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family, friends and his beloved pets. Bob attended Miamisburg High School and soon after enlisted in the US Army serving his country as a Special Sergeant from 1959 -1967. He was the owner and operator of Bob’s Pro-Lot Service, Inc. for over 25 years. He has also worked at several other jobs throughout his life such as Frigidaire and Pinkertons. Bob was also a huge fan of Elvis Presley and shot thousands of photos of him in concert. Bob is known all over the world for his photographs of Elvis and at one time ran one of the largest Elvis fan clubs in the United States. Bob enjoyed his family and friends, never meeting a stranger. Bob was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Family will receive friends from 3:00 - 6:00 PM Friday, March 30, 2012 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. A funeral ceremony will follow at 6:00 PM also at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Terry Whitley. Private burial will be held at a later date at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg. In memory of Bob’s love for animals and the several he rescued, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton at 1661 Nicholas Rd., Dayton, OH 45417.
