“Bob”, age 83 of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014 at his residence. He was born on February 7, 1931 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late, Ralph and Marie Wenzel. Also preceding him in death is his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary Ellen Wenzel (July 2013); sisters, Marjorie Wenzel-Burger and Mary Wenzel-Schindler. Bob is survived by son, Michael (Robin) Wenzel of Tucson, AZ; daughters, Susan McCabe and Karen Hatcher of Miamisburg, and Kathleen (Charles) Goodwin of Placitas, NM; grandsons, Bradley (Inka) Lyall, Brett McCabe, Kyle and Brandon Tollett; great-grandsons, Gabriel Roberts and Connor Lyall; sisters, Helen (Rom) Montalvo of Mount Pleasant, SC, Dottie Boyle of Sanford, NC; and numerous close friends and relatives. He is a Navy veteran and served in the Korean War. Bob volunteered at Saint Vincent DePaul’s hotel, was a member of the American Legion Post #165 and retired from Ohio Bell after 38 years of service. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 am on Friday, June 27 at Emmanuel Catholic Church, 149 Franklin Street Dayton, Ohio 45402. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass (9AM). If desired, memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent DePaul Society, 945 South Edwin C.
