Sandra J. Mantalbano Burns

BURNS, Sandra J., age 74 of Miamisburg passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born July 9, 1942 in Rome, NY to the late Casper J. and Molly C. (Buda) Montalbano. Sandra is survived by her aunts, Mary LaRock of Miamisburg and Mary Montalbano of NY; cousins, James Fazio and Gilbert Fazio both of CT, William Fazio of NY, Gary Fazio of NC, Lorraine Flaver, Anthony Montalbano, Shirley Walker, Diane Roache, Thomas Montalbano, Denise Coon, Dennis Montalbano and Jody O’Connell all of NY as well as a best friend Rita Miller of Miamisburg. Sandra was a 1960 graduate of Rome Free Academy. She worked for the Department of Defense US Air Force in Rome, NY in administration and served in various capacities for the US Department of Energy Mound Research Facility in Miamisburg. Following her retirement, Sandra was employed as a teacher’s aide for Miamisburg Mound Elementary School. Sandra enjoyed physical activities and was an athlete during her school years, later becoming an avid golfer. Services will be private at the convenience of the family and Hillgrove Cemetery will serve as Sandra’s final resting place.
