

GAISER, Sandra Lee, age 74, a life-long resident of Miamisburg, passed away after a long battle with head and neck cancer on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Hospice of Butler and Warren County, Franklin. She was born April 30, 1936 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio to the late William H. and Mary (Pontius) Martz. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard Lee Gaiser; daughters, Trina L. Garber and Joanna (Gerry L.) West; son, Timothy R. (Kathryn) Gaiser; grandchildren, Amanda N. West, Jennifer L. Garber, Shelby K. Gaiser, Alexander B. West, Abigail M. West and Clayton D. Gaiser; brother, William C. (Priscilla) Martz; nephew, Jon Martz and niece, Carol Greco. Sandra was the Valedictorian of the 1954 class of Miamisburg High School and was a Majorette of the marching band. She then attended Miami Jacobs College where she studied secretarial work and became the secretary to the Vice President of EF McDonald Company. Sandra then took time to raise and nurture her family before later taking a position at Monique Fabrics. She also went back to school and studied music at Sinclair Community College. Sandra was an accomplished pianist who accompanied many local choral groups and instrumental soloists. She also enjoyed singing as a member of the Miamisburg Community Chorus and Barbershop Quartet as well as her church choir. She was a member of Parkview United Methodist Church, Just-a-Mere Garden Club and the Women’s Golf League at Mound Golf Course. Some of her other activities included flower arranging and gardening, travel, reading, fishing, sewing, crafting and swimming. Most of all she enjoyed her time with family. Family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday, March 27, 2011 at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will begin 10:00 AM Monday, March 28 at Parkview United Methodist Church, Miamisburg. Burial will take place at Hillgrove cemetery following services.
