August 15, 1952 – June 25, 2025
Sharon West, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away on June 25, 2025, at the age of 72 following a sudden heart attack. Born on August 15, 1952, in Dayton, Ohio, to Jesse and Lorena Evans, Sharon was married to the love of her life, Curtis West, 34 years before his passing in 2008. Sharon cared for Curtis, with unwavering devotion during his final years. Her love was evident in every act of care and comfort, and she stood by his side with grace, patience and deep compassion. She was a radiant presence whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her.
A graduate of West Carrollton High School, Sharon dedicated 25 years of her life to serving others as a valued employee of Sycamore Hospital. A longtime resident of Dayton, she recently relocated to Cumming, Georgia, to be closer to her beloved daughters and grandchildren.
Family was the cornerstone of Sharon’s life. She found joy in the simple pleasures—spending time with her daughters and grandchildren, sharing laughter with close friends, and creating lasting memories during family beach trips. She was especially known for her home-cooked favorites, including her famous biscuits and gravy and chicken and noodles. Her daily ritual of visiting McDonald’s for a Coke was a small tradition that brought her comfort and delight.
Sharon will be remembered for her generous spirit, listening ear, and unwavering support of those she loved. Her kindness, warmth, and unconditional love will leave a legacy in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jessica Clift and Olivia Wenthe (Patrik) and her treasured grandchildren: Presley, Dyllan, and Karsyn (children of Jessica), and Sam and Hudson (children of Olivia), mother, Lorena Biser; sisters, Judy Lewis (Charlie) and Patsy Izor (Jim), brother Jesse Evans (Ann Marie). She is also deeply mourned by extended family and many dear friends who will feel her absence profoundly.
Though we deeply grieve her loss, we find comfort in knowing that she is reunited in heaven with Curt. Sharon’s light will continue to shine in all who were lucky enough to know her.
