Yeazel, Steven Eugene, Age 67, Germantown, OH, passed away after a brief but valiant battle with Cancer on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Kettering Medical Center. He was born in Dayton Ohio at Good Samaritan Hospital on July 27, 1959, to the late Emma Marie Yeazel (née, Conley) and Kenneth Eugene Yeazel.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Marybelle Yeazel; daughter Elizabeth Marie Yeazel; Father Kenneth Eugene Yeazel, Sisters Elizabeth (Keith) Ballard, Cynthia (Russ Natkin) Yeazel, Goddaughter/cousin Julie (Luke Gorman) Buchanan, Sister-in-law Theresa (Mark) Burns, many loved nieces, nephews, his “Bonus Daughter” Colleen Wagoner and many wonderful life-long friends.
Steve was a graduate of Miamisburg High School, class of 1977. He attained an A.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati; A B.S. in Computer Engineering at Wright State University. He retired on June 1, 2026, from Northrup Grumman Corp after 17 years of dedicated service in the aerospace industry. He mentored many new engineers over the past several years prior to retirement.
He proposed to his wife of 32 years on the ski slopes at Steamboat Springs, CO, a favorite spot for many years. He became a dad to Lizzi 12 minutes before his 4th wedding anniversary. Steve was an incredible and loving husband and father. He was the coach of many of Lizzi’s sports teams throughout her school years. He coached her in Volleyball, Softball and Golf and so many wonderful memories were made on the diamonds and courses from 4th grade through Jr. High. Steve and Lizzi did many Father/Daughter campouts & dances while members of The Adventure Princess Tribe. Once she got into High School and College, he walked many golf courses to cheer her on.
He was a devout Catholic man and was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Church in Miamisburg where he ushered for many years for the Saturday evening Masses, and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He loved to ski, bowl (attaining two 300 games), deer hunt, fish, woodwork, travel and listen to good music and attend music concerts- Steve was an avid Alice Cooper fan and attended 29 concerts over the years. Once Lizzi started gigging out, Steve and MB became her roadies, and he was The Sound Guy.
Steve, Marybelle and Lizzi made so many wonderful memories over the years, traveling & skiing across the country. Steve was so very proud of all that Lizzi accomplished and helped her to become a strong and independent woman. Steve realized a dream of building a Log Home in 1993. He and his wife spent countless hours doing finish work to achieve the dream of a log home in the country. They hosted many gatherings and parties for families and friends as they both loved to share their homestead. The Tree Tour Christmas Parties they hosted were renowned among family and friends each year, and Steve most enjoyed hiding the Christmas pickle for all to attempt to find.
Steve will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him in all areas of his life- from bowling, to golfing, to work to Margarita Parties.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Our Lady of Good Hope Church, 6 S. Third St., Miamisburg.
