

age 83, of Bethany Village, Centerville, and formerly of Miami Township was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 26th, 2012. She was born June 28th, 1928 in Circleville, Ohio to Forrest and Golda (Dunkle) Liston. June was a graduate of Jefferson Township High School and held a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Miami University where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. June met her husband, Hans D. Holztrager, while they were both students at Miami University and were married August 6, 1950. She is survived by her husband Hans of Centerville; her sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Eugene Weaver, also of Centerville; her daughter and son-in law, Lee Ann & Greg Conlon of Philadelphia, PA; and her son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Michelle Holztrager of Knoxville, TN. She also has 5 grandchildren: Suzanne, Allison, & Jonathan Conlon and Andrew and Matthew Holztrager and a host of nieces, nephews, great -nieces and great nephews in Ohio and the Southeastern U.S. that brought joy and blessing to her life. June was a life-long member of Salem Lutheran Church Ellerton, Ohio where she enjoyed singing in the church choir and teaching Sunday school. She had a long and successful 29 year career as an elementary school teacher at both Jefferson Township and Miamisburg School systems. She was also a member of the Vivace Music Club of Miamisburg, the Ohio Education Association, the Montgomery County Retired Teachers Association, and the Hithergreen chorus for many years. June was a gifted musician and artist who enjoyed oil painting, reading, travel, and flower gardening. June was a patriot who avidly followed the Nation’s governmental affairs and political culture. A favorite passion was fund raising for Native American Indian communities and LAMPS, an Alaskan missionary pilot organization.
