

BIERLEY, William T. Jr., age 91, a 60-year resident of Miamisburg, passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 surrounded by his family at his son Rob’s home in Hillsboro. He was born February 25, 1920 in Waverly, OH to the late William T. and Anna (Caproni) Bierley, Sr. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wives, Betty (Wolff) Bierley and Delores (VonHuben-Tehan) Bierley and a brother, Robert Bierley. Bill was a great dad to his 5 surviving children, Rob (Tracy) Bierley of Hillsboro, Mary Anne (David) Lemons of Miamisburg, Tim (Pegi) Tehan of Springboro, Mary Beth (Chuck) Clark of Chicago, IL and Tom (Diane) Tehan of Chang Mai, Thialand and was affectionately called, "Poppi" by his 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Bill enjoyed a long career, self-employed as a commercial artist and taught several years at the Dayton Art Institute. For over 35 years family & friends have enjoyed receiving Bill's artistic, humorous greeting cards with his "just plain Bill" logo. He was also a 60 year member of the Our Lady of Good Hope Parish. He became a walking enthusiast in his retirement who enjoyed exercising with the Dayton Mall Seniors. Bill will always be remembered for touching lives with his humor, his faith and his humble acts of kindness. A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, July 1, 2011 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Miamisburg officiated by Father Tom Nevels. Family will receive friends during a memorial gathering later that evening from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, July 1 at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Care Hospice at 200 R. Gordon Dr., P.O. 123, Wilmington, OH 45177.
