

Alice Emond, age 81, passed away unexpectedly on July 18, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Alice is survived by her four children: Kenneth Lee (Tammy), Mack Lee, Tammy Kohl, and Bobbi-Jo Hadley. She was a pillar of strength and love for each of her children, providing unwavering support throughout their lives.
Her heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren: Allison Hadley, Amanda Hajro (Ari), and James Kohl. Alice adored them beyond measure and cherished the time she spent with each of them. She leaves behind a legacy of memories filled with joy, laughter, and the warmth of her love.
Alice was born into a large and close-knit family, and she shared a special bond with her siblings: Margaret Ross, Roberta Hillman (Dean), Ronald Moon (Joann), Lowell Moon (Von), Dallas Moon and the late Pauline Balinski. They were a source of strength and companionship for one another, and their family gatherings were filled with love and laughter.
Her caring and selfless nature extended to all her nieces and nephews, and she was fondly known as a loving aunt to many.
Alice's heart was big enough to encompass not only her human family but also her beloved dog, Otis. He was her loyal companion, and their bond brought her immeasurable happiness.
A woman of faith, Alice found comfort and solace in her relationship with God. Her strong belief shaped her character, guiding her through life's challenges with courage and resilience.
With a zest for life and a playful sense of humor, Alice was known for her mischievous pranks that brought joy and laughter to those around her. She had a heartwarming habit of always carrying candy and hand sanitizer, ever thoughtful of others' needs.
Alice had a passion for staying active and healthy, enjoying rides around her home complex on her golf cart. She was also health-conscious, choosing a vegetarian lifestyle, and caring for bunnies and a pet squirrel exemplified her love for animals.
Recently, she received the joyous news that she was about to become a great-grandmother, and she eagerly looked forward to welcoming the newest member to the family.
Alice Emond leaves behind a beautiful tapestry of love, care, and cherished memories woven into the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy will forever be treasured, and her absence deeply felt. May her soul rest in eternal peace, knowing she was deeply loved and adored by all who knew her.
Funeral Service 12:30 PM on Tuesday July 25, 2023 St. at the funeral home. Interment Woodvale Cemetery. The family will receive friends TUESDAY 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM at the A. RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS (WEST OF I-71). Funeral Luncheon to follow at the Gathering Center behind the funeral home.
