

Beloved Wife of Christopher Gertiser. Dearest Daughter of Robert and Barbara Clausen. Daughter in law of Teresa and Gerald Gertiser. Sister in law of Emily and Brandon Ellison.
Aunt of Corbin and Zoey Ellison.
Amy grew up in South Bend, Indiana, graduating from LaSalle High School. She attended University of Notre Dame where she was an active member of the liturgical choir and played saxophone in the Notre Dame Marching Band. She graduated with a BA in Psychology and MA in Non-Profit Administration . She received a second masters degree in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University. She became a licensed social worker and provided grief counseling to children with Hospice of the Western Reserve.
She was heavily involved in the Cleveland fencing community and helped her best friend Brian Stone found Two Ravens Fencing School where she ran marketing, administration and coached epee.
She worked as office manager at Near West Theatre and helped them move into their new theater space.
Amy loved camping and hiking and was proposed to by Chris on a canoe trip through Quetico Provincial Park. Chris and Amy were wed in 2018. Amy loved gardening and could often be found with dirt under her nails in her big straw hat.
She loved music, her friends and couch time with her husband and two grey cats Faye and Morwen.
We will miss her infectious laugh, beautiful smile and generous, caring nature.
