She will be sorely missed by the Kalenak family.  She was a staple of family reunions since they were started 60+ years ago.  Her lifelong attendance of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church warms my heart.  She lived a faithful life and her forthrightness was refreshing.

Known Barb well over 20 years from the beauty shop. Barb could not have been the most kind person you will ever meet . Will miss many of our talks that we have had over the years. Heaven sure has gained a great spirit in Barb . My condolences to the girls , her husband rest of her family .

I was a long time client of Barb's at Mary's hair salon. She was a terrific cosmetologist and friend. She was always such a caring person, and loved her family very much. We liked to talk about all the different country music artists and how much she enjoyed seeing many of them at Blossom Music Center. I miss Barb very much but I think about all the memories and stories we shared over the years.

We met in the 7th grade. You had the long legs and deep sexy voice like Bacall. Jealousy. We ran into each other quite often then. Then midpark we were together again at lajose.  Good times. Then afterwards reunions get together. But for the past 4 years I tried my best to spoil you. We talked about everything. I will miss you my forever friend. Until we meet again.

I will keep in my heart the great memories  Rest well Barb and until we meet again those memories will always linger in my heart. I will miss your beautiful face and style at the fund raisers we would attend yearly. So many will miss your pretty face and smile. God be with you always my dear friend, peace.

I am so glad we crossed paths in the Fall of 2016- We had some fun and nice times together my forever friend....... We met @ Ford Middle School in the 8th grade....... Will miss you until one day we will meet again......

Barb was a delightful woman with a positive outlook on life. She valued her family and work. I am thankful for the time I had with her.

Barb I can't believe you are gone! From our LaJose days together,  living downstairs from you and Angelo, and our time at Mary's, you were more than a fellow employee to anyone you worked with and to me! We went through many peaks and valleys in our lives together, but you always used your faith, honesty and family to guide you through.  Barb was a remarkable person and will be truly missed!! Rest in peace Barb!!
