She was born on January 28, 1941, in Whitesville, West Virginia, to the late Hubert and Lillian Massey. She carried the strength, resilience, and warmth of her Appalachian roots with her throughout her life.
On May 24, 1958, she married the love of her life, Alfred Jerry Crouch. Together they built a life centered on love, loyalty, and devotion. They made their home in Cleveland, where they were blessed with nearly 68 years of marriage — a beautiful testament to their enduring commitment.
Barbara was a devoted mother to Jerry (Sandy) and Scott Crouch. She was a loving grandmother to Crystal, Angie (Charles), Amber, Joshua (Carli), and Katie (Rich), and a doting great-grandmother to Isaac, Veronica, Tyler, Jackson, Eloise, Michael, and Troy. She was a cherished sister to Guy (Paula), Donald (Carol), Herb (Carol), and Harvey (Brenda), and a dear aunt and friend to so many.
Barbara was firm in her faith and loved the Lord fiercely. Her life reflected Christ’s love through her servant’s heart, her generosity, and the way she cared for others before herself. She trusted God in every season of life and found strength in His promises.
She had a true servant’s heart and was passionate for those she loved — strong-willed, spirited, and full of life. Barbara found joy in bowling, cooking and baking for those she loved, and shopping for just the right find. She especially adored her beloved dog, Bella; the two were inseparable, and their bond was unmistakable.

Her legacy is one of fierce love, unwavering devotion to family, steadfast faith, and a life beautifully lived for the Lord.
