Betty J. Krajewski

July 31, 1931February 15, 2021

On Monday, February 15, 2021, Betty (Kyle) Krajewski, was received into the arms of the Lord at the age of 89. She was born on July 31, 1931 in Elkins, West Virginia. Betty met her husband and love of her life, Edmund Krajewski, Sr. while working at Hinkley Lighting in Cleveland, OH. They were married 57 years, raising their five children in Cleveland and Brunswick and then retiring in Beverly Hills, FL. She returned to OH after the passing of her husband.

Betty enjoyed camping at Roundup Lake, with her family and friends, where she loved to play cards and sing along to music. The sounds of her laughter would envelop you. One of her favorite pastimes was working on crosswords and word searches. She was fearless, adventuresome, and willing to try anything. She was also an excellent storyteller, recounting events and fond memories from her life. Betty loved to cook and bake. She could often be seen running back and forth from the kitchen whipping up delicious Polish sausage, Zupa, or her famous potato salad. She loved her family, surrounding them with unconditional love and attention. She was most proud to be a mother, aunt, grandma, “mee-maw” and great-grandma. As soon as you were in her presence you’d hear, “Come over here and give me a hug!” and receive a big hug filled with the scent of her favorite perfume, Chanel No. 5.

Betty is predeceased by her husband and siblings: Iris “Sis,” Bernice “Beanie,” Jacob “Mack,” and John. She is survived by her children: Jim (Karen) Krajewski, Paula (Mark) Deighton, Ed (Kim) Krajewski, Mark (Becky) Krajewski, and Kristina Stupka, her grandchildren: Eric (Danielle) Krajewski, Devon, Joseph Krajewski, Karley (Jason W.) Krajewski, Jamie (Russell) Tischer, Vaughn (Amanda) Krajewski, Mishael Deighton, Katherine (Michael) Riordan, Samantha (Gabe C.) Krajewski, and Raymond Stupka, her nieces and nephews, as well as 16 great-grandchildren. Rest in Heaven, Betty.

A wake will be held February 24, 2021 at Craciun Funeral Home 14925 E. Bagley Rd. Middleburg Heights from 2-4pm followed by a memorial service. Please consider making a donation on behalf of Betty Krajewski to the Alzheimer’s Association.

I was fortunate to accompany Mark & Becky on several visits to his Mom's home in Beverly Hills. Betty was always so welcoming and happy to share stories of her children and early life with her husband. Even in the last year of her life, she was always smiling and happy. She was a joy to know and will be so missed by her family & friends.

I cared for Betty for the short time she resided at Life Care. She always had a smile and a hug ready 💜. During the overnight hours when I would go in to check on her she would always pat the bed and tell me to sit and rest. When I had the time I would sit while she talked. This past year has been hard on everybody, but so much harder for those in our care with no contact from the outside world. I can only hope the family takes comfort in knowing she was well 😂 cared for and loved dearly by so many.

I will ALWAYS love you “more-er.” You lived up to your middle name and shined bright like a beautiful and precious jewel. You are precious to me. Thank you for being the best and only grandma I ever got to know. Rest in heavenly peace.
