Oh Grandma, I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. My heart is broken. It truly hurts. I love you so much, with all my heart. How I wish for one more phone call. You called me almost every day to check up on me and the boys. You were the best Grandma anyone could have. You loved your family with your whole heart. I can’t remember ever having one bad memory of you. The memories I have I will hold onto forever. From when I was a little girl getting my back scratched every Friday night (you were the best back scratcher), to spending the night and you making me oatmeal and milk. I looked forward to every Friday night after school visiting you. You always bought the best Christmas gifts and made our birthdays very special. You were at every one of my 40 birthday parties and made each one so special. I loved walking to your house with the boys when they were little and you standing at the window with your huge smile waving to us. I loved working from your house for those 2 years when I worked from home while you watched Joey and eating lunch with you and Grandpa every day. Joey will miss your chippies, bologna and juice. Vin will miss his pack of Mentos that you gave him every Sunday. I will miss your fried chicken, potato salad, meatloaf and your southern accent. I will miss you telling me you loved Mikey, me and the boys so much. I’ll miss your scent. The boys have always said this smells like Grandma’s house. I knew you loved me and that I could do no wrong in your eyes. You loved us all so much. You were such an amazing Christian Grandma who loved God and your family. You prayed for all of us each and every single day. We are a close family because of you and Grandpa. I am glad you are with Grandpa now. I love you Grandma with all my heart. I will miss you so much. It won’t be the same here anymore.
Love always,
Amanda
