Carmela Cancelliere

CARMELA CANCELLIERE, age 86. Devoted wife of late Gaetano; Loving mother of Salvatore (Linda) and Angelina Lanza (Tony). Cherished Nonna of Anthony Lanza (Nicole), Vince Lanza (Amy), Domenic Lanza, Nicolina Goins (Chris), Dominic and Gianna. Carmela worked at Joseph and Feiss as a seamstress for many years.

Carmela and her husband Gaetano left Sicily,  their families and everyone they knew behind to come to this country in order to provide a better life for their children.  Carmela was a seamstress at Joseph & Feiss, making Hugo Boss suits for over 25 years. She was an Amazing cook and baker.  She Loved taking care of her yard, garden and flower beds.  You could always find her outside in her yard. She was  extremely hard working even into her 80s.

Carmela's faith in God made her a  very strong woman.  Her family was her whole world, always putting her children and grandchildren above everything else.  She was the Best Nonna and will be deeply missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 13, 2023 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 14865 Bagley Rd, Cleveland, OH 44130. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Thursday 4 - 8 PM at the  A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY RD., MIDDLEBURG HTS. (WEST OF I-71).
