was surrounded by her loving family.
Clementina was born on July 1, 1930, in Carlopoli, a small village in the Calabria region of southern Italy, to Francesco and Vincenzina Guzzo. On August 30, 1951, she married Giuseppe Greco, the love of her life. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, hard work, and devotion to one another.
In 1957, Giuseppe immigrated to the United States to prepare for his family's new beginning. Clementina courageously followed in 1958 with their young children, settling in the Cleveland area.
Clementina was a devoted Catholic and faithful parishioner of St. Columbkille Parish in Parma, Ohio, for nearly seven decades. Her faith was the foundation of her life and a source of strength, comfort, and guidance for her family.
She was a master tailor whose exceptional skills and dedication led to a specialty in luxury menswear. Over the years, she fitted many athletes, performers, and notable clients working in
downtown Cleveland. She retired in 1995.
Beyond her work, Clementina possessed many gifts and passions. She was an avid gardener, a talented knitter, an exceptional cook and baker, and a cherished friend to all who knew her. She
loved music, especially Italian opera. Her kitchen was the heart of the family, where she prepared meals that brought everyone together, and baked what her grandchildren will always remember as the world's best chocolate chip cookies.
She had many talents, hobbies, and vocations throughout her life, but Clementina’s greatest joy was her family. Her favorite times were spent around the table with her sister, her husband, her
friends, her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren, eating, telling stories, and laughing, sometimes until she couldn’t help but cry.
Clementina is survived by her loving children, Tina Greco-Berman (late Wes), Nick Greco (Laurie), and Virginia Flaherty (Richard); her grandchildren, Matthew Greco (Christina), Danielle Greco (Dara), Lauren Oryszak (Jonah), Joseph Greco (Danielle), Joshua Parker (Amber, both deceased), Jacob Parker, Katherine Schaefer (Brandon), and Sarah Flaherty; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Julia, Madelyn, Claire, Vincent, Jayden, Jeremiah, Alayna, Gioia, Nora, Mia, Niko, Grady, and Michela. She is also survived by her dear sister, Rosetta LaCognata (Joe, deceased), her dear nephews Sal (Robi) and Giovanni (Mary), her lifelong best friend Maria
Succi, and many dear relatives and friends in both the United States and Italy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Giuseppe; her parents, Francesco and Vincenzina Guzzo; and her beloved brother, Giuseppe ‘Pepe’ Guzzo (Santina).
Though her family mourns her loss, they find comfort in a life beautifully lived and in the countless lessons she passed on through her faith, generosity, resilience, and unconditional love. Her legacy lives on in every family meal, every act of kindness, every shared song, and every cherished memory.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life will be held at St. Columbkille Church, June 3, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 - 7 PM at the A. Ripepi & Sons Funeral Home, 18149 Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights, OH 44130 (WEST of I-71)
