DIANE LOUISE SAUNDERS

SAUNDERS DIANE LOUISE SAUNDERS (nee Zaccaro), age 75. Met her Heavenly Father on April 15, 2016 with her family by her side. After a 6 year courageous battle with ovarian cancer, her final days were spent at home in hospice care surrounded by family and friends. Beloved wife of 55 years to Thomas. Loving mother of Carolyn Kara (Mahmud), David (Theresa) and Robert (Erin). Cherished grandmother of Jenna and Noelle Kara, Jordan, Tygue, Justus, Dylan, Logan, Lincoln and Denver. Dearest daughter of the late Nicholas and Jean (nee Walker) Zaccaro. Dear sister of Carolyn Zaccaro and John Zaccaro (Alina). Dear sister in law of Thomas and Marjorie Sashko, William and Mary Saunders. Also survived by aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Diane was born October 28, 1940 in Cleveland, OH, and graduated from James Rhodes High School. She met the love of her life Thomas Saunders at Benjamin Franklin School in the 7th grade. They were married on June 10, 1961, and have resided in the Cleveland area all their lives. Diane will be remembered for her generous heart, impeccable sense of style, and passion for life. She had a special way of making everyone she knew feel happy and loved. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5075 Windfall Rd., Medina, OH 44256. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday April 20, 2016 St. Basil Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd at 11:00AM. Interment Highland Drive Cemetery (Brecksville).
