YAKO FRANK T. YAKO, age 78. Kelleys Island resident passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2015. Beloved husband of 55 years to Christine (nee Avarello). Loving father of Frank (Sue), Deborah Phinney, Mark (Gail), Michelle Moore (Wayne), Michael (Fe) and Lisa (Brad Blackwell). Cherished grandfather of Shannon, Elizabeth (Josh Janosik) and Jared Moore, Nicholas, Matthew and Angela Yako, David and Sarah Phinney, Bridget and Rachel Yako, Connor Yako and Hannah, Gretchen and Grace Blackwell. Dearest son of the late Frank and Elizabeth. Dear brother of the late Robert and Delores Danvic. Also survived by nieces, nephews and many dear friends. U.S. Army Veteran. Frank was a mechanic at Otis Elevator for 37 years and member of Local 17. Also a member of St. Michaels Parish on Kelleys Island, the Kelleys Island Volunteer Fire Dept., and the VFW Post 9908. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, telling stories, driving his golf cart on Kelleys Island but most of all spending time with family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to National Fragile X Foundation (www.fragilex.org) or St. Michael's Church (Kelleys Island, Ohio). Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday July 21, 2015 St. Colette Church, 330 West 130th St. (Brunswick, OH) at 10:30AM. The family will receive friends MONDAY 3 - 8 PM at the A. RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS (WEST OF I-71). There will be a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday July 22, 2015 at St. Michaels Church (Kelleys Island) at 10:00 AM prior to the interment at Kelleys Island Cemetery.
