He was the devoted husband of Ai Ying Chen and the late Debra. Loving father of Kevin, Shannon (Jermaine), and Ashley (Terry). However the title he was most proud of is Papa of Gianna, Nico, Max, Jalyn, Maliya, Tripp, and Jet. There was never a conversation he had that one of his grandchildren didn't come up in. Gary has joined the love of his life, Debi in heaven where they will spend eternity together again.
Gary went to work at American Steel and Wire right out of high school in 1973. After spending 25 years at the Steel Mill, he found his true talent and creativity as the R&D Manager at US Fence where he built vinyl fence displays for Home Depot and Lowe’s. He left US Fence to pursue his own vinyl design business to give him more flexibility while caring for the love of his life, Debi, after she got sick. He worked incredibly hard to be able to spend his time off in Hilton Head Island and Myrtle Beach, that he and Debi loved so much. He was finally able to retire to his oasis in Cape Coral, FL where he spent his days floating around his pool that he was incredibly proud of.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Gary's memory to the American Cancer Society or Ronald McDonald House.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the A. RIPEPI & SONS' FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HTS., OH 44130 (WEST OF I-71).
