George was born on June 28, 1952 in Williamson, West Virginia to Vicie D. and Tom R. Sullivan. George was a retired machinist and pipe fitter who enjoyed fishing and going to car shows. It would surprise no one to see George put on his dancing shoes and dance his famous two foot shuffle whenever a favorite song was playing. He was always the first person to volunteer help and would never tell anyone no. He prided himself on arriving early to every party or event invited to. George was a unique storyteller always keeping you guessing and laughing with that mischievous look in his eye.
But, his favorite role was being a grandfather (Poppa) to Kayla, Charles, Devin, Kaitlynn, Kylie, Rachel, Owen, Makenna, Jax, Nate, Lily, Daylana, and Luna. He was always their biggest and proudest supporter in every activity they participated in. Everyone knew and loved Poppa George!
George leaves to cherish his memory his wife Connie, daughters Joyce (Charlie), Michelle (Jason), Jennifer (Chris), Amanda (Dave), son Tim (Julie), and stepson Tony (Yuka), brothers Larry (Alice), Paul (Charlotte), and Jerry (Merrie), step grandchildren, great step grandchildren (Max and Mal) and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ronald (Patty), Jack (Virginia), sisters Joyce, Zola Myrl, Bobbi (Rex), and daughter-in-law Aimee.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
