Miss you more everyday.     You were the best dad I could of ever have asked for you taught me so much    Miss you!   Still collecting my wheat pennies.  

Harry was a great friend and like a second father to me.I worked many years on the railroad with him being my conductor while I ran the track crane. My wife and I loved when Harry and Rita would come to our home to visit us.We sat around the table drinking coffee and listened and laughed at all of Harry's stories. Deepest Sympathy to Rita and Family. We will truly miss him. Good bye Harry ,may you rest in peace.

One couldn't ask for a better neighbor and friend - in all of the Nelsons, really - but especially Mr. Nelson.    One particular memory: I don't think I even had my Learners Permit when, on the only trip I made to Iowa with him, Mrs. Nelson and Debbie, he told me to drive their brand new Volare for quite a stretch of highway near Chicago. It topped off the end of a really special trip for me! Friar Drive was a great place to grow up and Mr. Nelson was a big part of it. He will be missed.

My condolences to Harry's family and friends.  Many times Harry provided a bright spot to my day with stories and quick wit- all with a twinkle in his eye.

So many beautiful memories growing up across the street from the Nelson's!  My prayers and thoughts are with the entire family.  I am so sorry for your loss.

I loved being around or talking to Uncle Harry.  He was so funny but also so sentimental.   He always made you laugh or smile.  One story I have heard my husband, Joel tell many times.  Uncle Harry came to visit us in Phoenix many years ago.  We had only been married  3-4 years and Joel had not met Uncle Harry. My husband was still at work and I needed to run to the store to get groceries for dinner.  Joel came home while I was out and saw Uncle Harry sitting on the couch.  They both just looked at each other. And Uncle Harry didn't say anything. Finally Joel asked i"Where's Jolene?"  Uncle Harry said, "She's not here."  Joel then asked where is she?  Uncle Harry said, "Don't know."   Joel: " when will she be back?"  Uncle Harry, ""Didn't say."   At this point Joel was getting angry and  concerned about who this stranger was in our home.  Finally,me said, "who are you?"   Uncle Harry started laughing and introduced himself.  
On the sentimental side, Uncle Harry  would send birthday cards and in the last few years wrote several letters which contained his humor  but also reflections about His life.

Mr. Nelson was a pretty awesome guy, once I grew up and wasn't so afraid of him (lol).  He gave me plenty of tips on gardening and was so great to our family when Dan and then Mom passed.  My heart has another empty spot in it:(

I will miss my Uncle Harry dearly. He would always make me laugh.  He was never lost for words, kind words.  His passing remains not a reality to me yet.

I loved my Uncle Harry deeply. He was the funniest guy in the world. I have many fond 
memories of him but one I will relate involved my late dad. My dad was a rough no nonsense guy who rarely was jovial around family unless Uncle Harry was there. In those times Uncle Harry had my dad constantly laughing. It was a joy to watch. I will miss him dearly and I really wish I could be there to say goodbye and to support his lovely family. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family.
