Harry proudly served his country as a United States Marine, a commitment that reflected his lifelong values of discipline, integrity, and quiet strength. Following his military service, he built a long and dedicated career with Parker, where he worked as a Quality Manager, earning the respect of colleagues for his attention to detail and unwavering standards.
Known as a meticulous fixer, Harry took great pride in getting things done correctly the first time. Whether working on boats, household projects, or helping others solve problems, he found satisfaction in craftsmanship and precision. His love for the water extended beyond work—he deeply enjoyed fishing and spending time on the lake, a place where he found peace and joy.
Harry is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley (née Berthold); his sons, Michael (Samantha) and Daniel (Barbara); and his cherished grandchildren, Chelsey, Evan, and Madelyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry S. and Louise (née White) Schreck, as well as his sisters, Carol and Bunny.
Harry will be cremated, and his ashes will be spread on Lake Erie, honoring his lifelong connection to the water. Fair winds and following seas.
A celebration of life will be scheduled for a future date.
Arrangements are in the care of the A. Ripepi and Sons Funeral Home, 18149 Bagley Rd., Middleburg Heights (west of I‑71).
