Helen Schwartz

Helen P. “Pat” Schwartz (née Lucak), age 93, passed away peacefully at home on November 19, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Harvey for 64 years; loving mother of Karen Sherwood (Mike), Ellen Myerly (Rich), and Ken Schwartz (Cally); dear grandmother of Greg Sherwood (Lindsay), Lesley Leib (Erik), Alyssa Myerly (Steven Carson), and Jillian Myerly; proud great-grandmother of three.

Pat was a much-loved first grade teacher for many years in the Parma City School District. Once retired, she and Harvey traveled extensively in the United States and Europe, enjoyed concerts and musical theater, and volunteered for the Very Special Arts program. She especially enjoyed good books, entertaining family and friends, and spending time with her great-grandchildren. Her deep faith and positive outlook on life were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Family and friends will be received on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 5:00PM at A. RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS (WEST OF I-71). A PANIKHIDA SERVICE WILL TAKE PLACE AT 4:00 p.m. Funeral Divine Liturgy at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 6822 Broadview Road, Parma, OH on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2025 at 10:00AM. Interment at Saint Theodosius Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church or to Westlake Porter Public Library, 27333 Center Ridge Road, Westlake, 44145, toward the purchase of books for the library’s mystery collection (please specify with donation).
