

John G. Emmerich, of Berea, Ohio, was born on February 15, 1963 in Elyria, Ohio. He passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. His life was marked by kindness, dedication, and a deep love for family and friends.
John grew up with a strong sense of community and an unwavering work ethic that guided him throughout his life. He was known for his generosity, his ability to make others laugh and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether through his career or personal relationships, John touched countless lives with his warmth and sincerity.
He cherished time spent with family, finding joy in simple moments—sharing meals, telling stories, and creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best. His legacy is one of compassion, integrity, and love.
As we remember John, let us celebrate the joy he brought into our lives and the lessons he imparted through his actions. His laughter, kindness, and unwavering spirit will remain with us, a guiding light through the days ahead.
John is survived by his children, Sarah Solarz, Shawna (Eric) Gehrke, Samantha Emmerich, Chelsea Emmerich (Samuel Velez), John “Jack” Rose; step-children, James (Candi) Scott Jr. and Jolinda Scott; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; father, Jim Emmerich and sister Mary Beth (Fred) Green as well as many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan (nee Bishop) MacBeth.
John’s biggest enjoyment and hobby was riding one of his many Harley-Davidson motorcycles with friends.
Those who knew John will forever hold him close in their hearts. His presence will be deeply missed but his spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life at a later date.
