

John George Gib was born on January 11th, 1948, in Elwood City, P.A., to John and Virginia Gib. As a youngster, growing up in Elwood City, P.A., until he and his family moved to Parma Heights, Ohio, where he graduated high school at Valley Forge. Following high school, John took his skills as an engraver to American Greetings, then to a company by name of Lakeview Products, where he and a small group of his peers eventually purchased the small printing company, some years later selling the company, at which time John became a truck driver throughout these years. He also umpired softball for his love of the game, which he was no longer able to play due to bad knees, a result of his love of skiing and baseball/softball. John had a kind soul, a warm and loving heart, the absolute definition of unconditional love, with an amazing sense of humor and a smile that lit up any room.
John is survived by his daughter, Michelle; son, Robert; grandchildren, Jalisa, Kelvin, Marcus, Corey, and his strength and guiding light in the end, Madison. His great-grandchildren, Jaevon, Jaliyah, Jalina, Jalani. His big sister, who always watched over him, Joyce Moldovan; his brother, partner in crime, confidant, and fishing buddy, James Gib; baby sister, his heart and antagonist, Jill Goellner. Nieces and nephews Lisa Zietlow, Doug Moldovan, Christian Moldovan, Jen Barilaro, Melanie Clevinger, Matthew Gib, Micheal Gib, Nicole Goellner.
My father would never forgive me if there was no mention of his favorite cousin, as the man himself, Johnny Adams, would say, the dynamic duo, Johnny George and Johnny Adams. The man, the myth, the legend. May you rest in peace with knowing you are forever loved and will never be forgotten. We all love you, Johnny George Gib, God speed.
