Dear Opa,

Words cannot express how much we will all miss you. It was truly a blessing to have you as a grandfather and a role model in my life. I will miss our talks about sports and soccer every time I came over. I will also miss us being the only ones who would eat the dark meat at our family holiday dinners. I will think about you every day and cherish all the good times we had. Rest In Peace.

Love,

Your Grandson Ryan

Dearest Uncle Joe

So many fond memories of you, over the years.
From the many summer holidays in Canada and times in Cleveland.

Will always remember you and Tante Lisalotte from years ago.

Dear Joe ,
It sure was a real gift to be able to have you as a father in law. Being able to see first hand the beautiful things you made from wood both in your job as a wood pattern maker and making things just as a hobby. From your love of nature and the metro parks to your perfectly manicured yard I sure learned a lot from you and I thank you for that. It’s not going to be the same without you but I know you are in a better place with your beloved Lisa.
Love , David

It truly was a blessing that I had the opportunity to meet Opa (Josef) in my life.
The talks we had together I will cherish for the rest of my life! He would share his knowledge of wood working with me and tell me about his days as a child in Germany and about coming to the United States and meeting his lovely wife Lisa. The one thing that he taught me without ever saying a word about it was showing me how to be a great husband and father. Josf was truly an amazing man, and I can only hope to be as gentle, caring and loving as he was to my wife and children. I will always remember you and tell Jade Penelope all about you through her life. You are someone truly to admire and look up to Opa. I love you very much and always will! ❤

Dearest Dad,
I can never express enough how much you meant to me. The day you and mom picked me and adopted me was truly the luckiest day of my life. You were my father, my guide, my rock, and confidante. You taught me to be a hard worker, to be honest, and most of all you taught me by example how to have empathy. I am forever grateful for the time we had together. Your beautiful marriage with mom was absolutely amazing. We missed her so much together since she left us. I do know now that being reunited with her in eternity was your last wish. You and mom will always be with me in my heart. Until we meet again. I love you both.
Your daughter,
Karen
