August 27, 1942 – June 4, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph G. Hama III, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who left this world peacefully on June 4, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Joseph lived a life defined by strength and compassion—not only as a provider, but also as a protector, confidant, and role model. Through every trial, he showed what it meant to endure with grace and lead with love."
Joseph was best known for his sense of humor and his lifelong love of baseball and golf. Whether cheering from the stands or enjoying a round on the course, these passions brought him great joy. He also had a deep affection for the music of Dean Martin and loved to sing his favorite song, "Everybody Loves Somebody Sometimes," often bringing a smile to everyone around him. He left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his children, Joseph G. Hama IV and Celia (Hama) Saal; grandchildren, Joseph Hama V, Alexandra Hama, Brian Hama, Jordan Saal, and Juliane Saal; and his great-grandson, Joseph Hama VI—who will carry forward his legacy with the same resilience and heart that he lived by.
Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave and the lessons he taught will remain a part of us forever. We will miss him deeply and remember him always.
A family and public service will be held on June 14th at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Rd, Brook Park, Ohio. Friends and family will gather at "Gathering Place A" in front of the main office.
Rest in peace, Dad. now, our guardian.
