Joseph Hayes

Joseph Barry Hayes, age 87, husband of the late Betty Ann, passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 22, 2026. Joseph is the son of the late Reynold and Sylvia (nee Whitsel) Hayes and was born September 24, 1939.

Joseph is lovingly remembered by his sons Marc (Janet), Michael (Patricia), and Stephen (Kristine); grandchildren Dalton (fiancée Jaqueline), Tricia, Riley (Cara), Jessica (Brad), Samantha (Thomas), Travis, Cassandra (Dan), Stephen (Rebecca), Katherine; great-grandchildren Colton, Eva, Carson, Maddie, Bentley, Cooper, Lily, Avery, Jaxtyn, Aidyn, Westyn, Emmeline, Adalynn, Nora, Wyatt. He is also remembered by his sister Sharon (late JC) Hakanen.

Joseph was a doting father and grandfather. He especially loved rooting for his grandchildren at sporting events. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Joseph worked for the railroad for 37 years prior to retirement. He was an active member in the UTU and had previously served as local president. He loved every moment spent with his family and leaves behind so many treasured memories.
