June E. Murany

June Murany (nee Thayer), age 93, of Strongsville passed away peacefully on May 5th, 2026 after a long battle with pulmonary disease. Beloved wife of the late Albert P. Murany for 53 wonderful years. Besides Albert, she is preceded in death by sisters Marilyn Gibbs and Nancy Preston as well as her son Mark Murany.

June is survived by daughter Susan Murany of Washington DC, brother-in-law Channing Preston and many loving nieces and nephews.

June and Al had many friends from her time at CEI and Al’s time at East Ohio Gas. They both participated at Redeemer and Bethlehem churches. At Redeemer, June played the organ for Sunday services as well as direct the Junior Choir. They had many happy adventures taking the choir members on outings. After Al’s retirement, they both enjoyed RVing with friends and family traveling across most of the USA.

Inurnment for June and Albert will be 11:15 AM TUESDAY MAY 26, 2026 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Everyone please meet at the cemetery entrance.
