My deepest condolences to the family, especially Isa and Dominik. I was completely saddened to hear of Karen's passing. The last time I saw Karen was a year ago on May 24, 2017 and she told me that she had been ill. I was hoping that she would get better. I met Karen in 2006 and immediately liked her. As her client, I spent a few hours a month for many years with her and during this time we really got to know each other well. Karen was such a kind, wonderful and funny person. I always admired her strength, considering all the heartbreak that she endured in her life.
I feel so honored to have known such an amazing person. Karen will surely be missed and I'll always remember her.

Karen was the strongest, most inspiring person I have ever known . Her heroic spirit is something i will never forget! She had such tragedy in her life, yet she always prevailed as a hero !!! She always had a smile on her face and her whit was undeniable! I will never
Forget her beautiful smile or dedication to her family. I had many years enjoying her family and many years I missed. I loved you Karen, as a mother figure, a friend, and as an inspiration, you are etched in my soul forever 😘

I’m devastated by the loss of my very good friend Karen. She was hands down the kindest and most thoughtful person I have ever known - always putting everyone else first. I could easily talk to her for hours - always forgetting there was a 40 year age difference - that’s just the type of person Karen was. She always listened to what was going on in your life - no matter what was going on in her own. Even over the last month when she was getting very sick, she was still texting me asking things like if my son got over his cold. That’s the kind of selfless person Karen was. I always thought of her as my hero - admiring how she could do it all with work and raising two amazing grandchildren. Visits to Cleveland will never be the same without swinging by her home and spending hours catching up like no time had passed. Karen has been such a major part of my life - being there for so many of my major life moments and serving as my beloved Godmother. I miss her so much already and cannot believe she is really gone.
