nephew to Carissa and Bob, and favored cousin of Maya Schnable. He is survived by his
father, Columbus Morgan, several cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Lawrence
has countless friends and companions. Lawrence loved animals and is survived by his
canine companion, Sally, and feline family of Janet and George (aka Killa); He is a senior
at Old Brook High School - Parma.
Lawrence’s absolute favorite thing to do was to make people laugh, especially his
mom. In his honor, we are requesting that everyone remember and write down
their favorite “funny Lawrence” story and gather to celebrate his life Monday
June 27 the at Coe Lake Pavilion from 5-9pm where we will all share our stories and
remember the countless times that this boy made our worlds brighter, made an
experience sparkle or just made us laugh so hard we snorted. Please come
casually dressed and be comfortable.
“The Law” as many friends and coaches referred to Lawrence, had many passions, most
notable was his LOVE of basketball. He was pretty proud of the fact that he was born in
the same Akron hospital where both LeBron James and Steph Curry took their first
breaths. When Lawrence was 11, he told his mom that he had decided on 3 possible
career paths. His first choice was to play for the NBA. If for some reason, that didn’t
work out, he would settle for being able to coach an NBA team. And if he couldn’t find a
way to make either of those options happen, his fall-back plan, the only other job he
could potentially see himself doing, was to be President of the United States, but ONLY if
all NBA options had been completely exhausted. You have to appreciate the audacity of
his NBA dreams, especially in light of the fact that his mom stands shy of 5 feet.
Lawrence was always eager to comment on this fact, “Mom, you’re soooo short!”
The family will receive friends TUESDAY 3-7 PM at the A. RIPEPI AND SONS
