Maria Humeston

Maria Humeston (nee Hazinakis) age 87. Beloved wife of the late Michael A. Humeston. Loving mother of Angela Bova (Frank), Richard Humeston (Tina deceased) and Joseph Humeston (Sarah).

Cherished Grandmother (G) of Michael Bova, Joseph Bova (Abbie) and Annie Frizzi (Bill), Michael Humeston (Kiley), Matt and Sam Humeston, Jeremy (Samantha fiancée) and Olivia Humeston. Step grandmother to Frankie (Clara), Mary, and Tony (Meghan) Bova, Tatum and Jaxson. Great Grandmother (Old Yiayia) to Ezra and Edan Bova, Maelle, Van and Tabb Humeston and Carmela Frizzi.

Dearest daughter of the late Stephen and Anthepe Hazinakis (both deceased). Sister of Angela VanBuren (Jesse) (both deceased), Maritza Nagy (Joseph) (both deceased), brother Christopher (Linda deceased) and Georgia Hale (deceased). Dear aunt, great aunt and friend to many.

What Maria loved most in life was her family and friends. She loved to play Bingo, loved to travel and vacation with her family. She loved to spend time with her grand/great grandchildren and loved her beloved dogs. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother to all of us and will be greatly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Hospice of the Western Reserve.

A funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (Rittman Ohio).

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 11, 2026 between 1:00-4:00 P.M. at the A. RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 Bagley Rd. Middleburg Heights, Ohio (West of I-71), (440)260-8800.
